Jasprit Bumrah set aside injury concerns to bowl a remarkable death-over spell in the Indian Premier League, proving his mettle yet again ahead of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019.
A little over three years into his international career, Jasprit Bumrah has already built up quite a reputation. He is ranked No.1 in the MRF Tyres ICC ODI Rankings for bowlers and has a fantastic Twenty20 International record too.

Aaron Finch, Australia's limited-overs captain, has said it will be "bloody hard" to zero in on a 15-man squad for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019.Finch, who has been in spectacular form of late after a tough few months, is leading an Australian side buoyed by their recent successes in India and the United Arab Emirates. Both the captain and his team came back strongly after the loss to India at home, beating them 3-2 despite trailing 2-0 in the five-match ODI series in India. They then claimed an unassailable 3-0 lead against Pakistan in the ongoing five-ODI series. With most players in a terrific form, Finch and the Australian selectors have a dilemma in picking the World Cup squad, especially with David Warner and Steve Smith set to return following the end of their respective 12-month bans.

After a winter of match-winning performances with both bat and ball for his various T20 franchises, Liam Dawson could be forgiven for being confident about his World Cup chances.
A series of characteristically solid displays with his left-arm spin for Comilla Victorians preceded a handful of eye-catching knocks in the Pakistan Super League, including a match-winning fifty that must have reminded England's selectors of his ability as a batsman.
But despite admitting he'd love to play in the tournament, England's Mr. Dependable insists that his focus is on Hampshire for the time being.

The 2019 Cricket World Cup (officially ICC Cricket World Cup 2019)is the 12th edition of the Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be hosted by England and Wales,[from 30 May to 14 July 2019.
The hosting rights were awarded in April 2006, after England and Wales withdrew from the bidding to host the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, which was held in Australia and New Zealand. The first match will be played at The Oval while the final will be played at Lord's. It is the fifth time that the Cricket World Cup will be held in England and Wales, following the 197519791983 and 1999 World Cups.
The format for the tournament will be a single group of ten teams, with each team playing the other nine teams, and the top four teams progressing to a knockout stage of semi-finals and a final. The ten team tournament has gained criticism due to the lack of Associate teams in the tournament. Given the increase of the Test playing nations from 10 to 12, with the admission of Ireland and Afghanistan in June 2017, it will be the first World Cup to be contested without all of the Test playing nations being present,[4] and after the elimination of all the Associate teams at the qualifying tournament, this will be also be the first World Cup to feature no Associate members.
Following the 2019 Pulwama attack which happened during February 2019 on the Indian Army by a terrorist group, several former Indian players and Board of Control for Cricket in India called for the boycott on the World Cup group match fixture between India and Pakistan with raising concerns on banning Pakistan cricket team from playing in the World Cup tournament.[5][6][7] However, after conducting a press meet in Dubai, the International Cricket Council rejected BCCI's statement regarding banning Pakistan from the World Cup and assured that the scheduled match will go ahead as planned despite the ongoing standoff between the two nations.[8][9]
